Fifth multiplier event “Enhancing digital and psychological resilience of students through peer networking”, held at University of Kragujevac

At the University of Kragujevac on October 18 and 19, 2024, a multiplier event was held with the aim of presenting the results of the Erasmus+ DigiPsyRes project and considering the possibility of implementing these activities at all levels of education system.

The last of the five planned results dissemination events (ME5) within the Erasmus+ project “Enhancing digital and psychological resilience through peer networking in the online environment in times of crises” – DigyPsyRes, was held on October 18th and 19th at the Rectorate of the University of Kragujevac. The coordinator of the project is the University of Kragujevac, and the hosts of this ME activity were teachers, students and associates of the study program of Psychology, University of Kragujevac.

The purpose of the professional meeting was to review the results achieved after the successful completion of students’ peer support training, the publication of Guide and Manual for the implementation of the program, as well as the launch of the online portal and support network. On the first day, Dr Zorana Antonijević from the Center for International Security, Faculty of Political Sciences in Belgrade held a presentation on the topic “Digital security and violence in cyberspace: a gender perspective”. After that, Dr Milica Stojković presented the main results of the project to the representatives of educational institutions, with an emphasis on the presentation of the Guide and Manual for program implementation, the first edition of the student e-magazine and the launch of an online portal for the peer support network.

On the second day of the meeting, representatives of educational, health institutions, and associations were divided into groups and could directly participate in the presentation of the workshops that comprised the peer support training during the project. The most important part of the meeting was the discussion on further steps, the needs of educational institutions, networking with advisory service providers, and the possibilities of implementing the activities developed during the project for secondary and elementary school students, as well as for parents of children in elementary schools and preschoolers. The day was rounded off with the presentation of “Women in Cybersecurity: Challenges and New Opportunities”, which presented IT and mathematics teachers with new opportunities for greater engagement of women in this field, that will represent an important professional field in the future.
